The Netherlands experienced renewed interest heading into 2024, although this trend may diminish due to plans by Dutch universities to reduce international student admissions and English-taught programs.

Nearly half of prospective students are reconsidering or uncertain about studying in the UK (49%), Australia (47%), and Canada (43%).

Consequently, the US is emerging as a more favorable alternative for students deterred by policies in these countries.
