Two standard visa forms should be completed and signed by each applicant and printed from VisaOnWeb.

Three passport-size photos that are not older than 6 months and meet the required specifications must be submitted.

An original national passport and a copy of the first pages must be provided, valid for at least 3 months after the visa expiry date.

The applicant must present the original admission letter from a recognized or subscribed Belgian higher educational institution, stating Final Admission or provisional admission. Please note that a provisional registration certificate issued by a higher education institution will not be accepted for visa application.

Educational diplomas and certificates should be submitted in their original form, attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Pakistan), and legalized by the Royal Embassy of Belgium in Islamabad. A detailed marks sheet should also be provided.

The administrative fee in Belgium must be paid and proof of payment must be submitted (if applicable).

An up-to-date Police Character Certificate for the applicant older than 21 years must be submitted, covering the last 5 years. If the applicant has stayed in multiple countries during this period, several Police Character Certificates must be produced. If the certificate is written in English, no translation is required. The certificate must be legalized by the Embassy of Belgium in Islamabad.

The applicant must provide a medical certificate, issued by a doctor accredited by the Embassy, stating that they are not suffering from any disease that may put public health at risk. The medical certificate should be sealed by the doctor and handed over to the visa applicant and should be submitted along with the other supporting documents at the Visa Application Centre.

Financial cover must be provided, either in the form of a scholarship grant issued by a Belgian or European institution or the Pakistani Government proof of payment for the first academic year in Belgium or an original sponsorship certificate for studies duly fulfilled and signed by the guarantor and legalized by the proper authority.

Students are allowed to work part-time 20 hours per week during their semesters and full-time during their semester break. To get a work permit students are required to file an application for Work Permit Type C at the Department of Economic Migration and submit the required documents.
